Through our rescue RYP Flint Hills Animal Rescue we sometimes have a dog available for adoption. You can view adoptable dogs on this page. If there are no dogs listed, we do not have any dogs available at the moment.
All dogs are spayed/neutered and vaccinated. While in our care, we work on basic obedience and test them with a variety of things to place them in the best home possible.

Meet Mouse - adoption pending

Mouse was an owner surrender and super sweet. He's a little shy at first but loves quickly.

About Mouse:
Age: Approximately 10 months old
Breed: Australian Shepherd mix
Size: Large, currently 50lbs and will get a little bigger
Temperament: Playful, affectionate, goofy

Ideal Home for Mouse:

Mouse is a smart dog and will need someone that can help him develop self confidence. Shy at first, he warms up quickly and would do good in most homes.

Children: We are testing Mouse with children soon, but think he would be good with them.

Environment: Mouse wants a home where he can be loved. A good daily walk and training is all he needs.

-He is fully vaccinated and microchipped.
-He is in great health and ready for her forever home.

Temperament: Playful, affectionate

Ideal Home for June Bug:

June Bug is a smart dog and fun dog that has a lot of energy. She does well with dogs 20 pounds and over, but we do not suggest that she goes to a home with small dogs.

Children: We are testing June Bug with children soon, but think she would be good with them with supervision so she doesn't jump on them.

Environment: June Bug wants a home where she can be loved. A good daily walk and training is all she needs.

Age: 6 months
Breed: Heeler Mix
Personality: Super active, toy lover, and incredibly playful
Compatibility: Great with other dogs, especially larger, active ones who can match her high energy and physical play style. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet.

What Daffodil Loves:

Outdoor Activities: Running, playing, and any outdoor adventures
Toys: Endless fun with her favorite toys
Water: She’s a water enthusiast, making her a great candidate for sports like dock diving

Skills and Training:

Crate Trained: Perfect in her crate

In Training: Working on commands like leave it, down, and other basic obedience skills

Woody was found in the woods with a broken tail. He is learning to like the leash and a harness. Woody likes attention on his terms.

Age: Adult neutered male
Breed: Chihuahua mix
Size: Small
Temperament: Playful and spicy, wary of strangers

Ideal Home for Woody:

Experience: Woody will need a loving home that can work with his desire to be held on his terms and will continue to work with him on his leash manners.

Children: We have not tested Woody with children yet.

Environment: Woody would be happy in any home environment, whether it's a house with a yard for playtime or an apartment. He would enjoy a quieter home.

Health info:
-Woody is neutered.
-He is fully vaccinated.
- He is in good health but does seem painful on his back left leg sometimes, and he ready for his forever home.

Meet Winston!!

Winston is an older American Bulldog mix. He was surrendered by his owner and came in only weighing 40lbs, 25 pounds underweight. He is now at a healthy 65lbs and starting to gain muscle back. He has arthritis, but that doesn't stop him from jumping into a kennel to find his food puzzles!

About Winston:

Age: Approximately 8 years old

Breed: American Bulldog mix

Size: Large, currently 65lbs and may gain more muscle weight

Temperament: Playful, affectionate, chill

Ideal Home for Winston:

Experience: Winston is a goofy guy and just wants to be around everyone.
Children: Winston was tested with kids and sat down when he was around younger children. We always recommend supervision with dogs and children.
Environment: Winston will do well in a home with another dog or lots of humans.

Winston is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.

Meet Drama!!

Drama is an adult Great Dane/Akita mix. She was brought to us with 4, 2 1/2 week old puppies. The puppies have all been adopted. She is wary of new people and does not like the rain. Once she knows you, she will love you. She enjoys playing with larger dogs.

About June Bug:

Age: Approximately 5-7 years old

Breed: Akita/Great Dane mix

Size: XL, currently 120lbs, she should be about 110

Temperament: Affectionate, shy, playful with her family

Ideal Home for Drama:

Experience: Drama needs a home that doesn't have a lot of activity or one that let's her have her own space when people are over.
Children: Drama needs to have teenager or older children in the home that will not get in her space.
Environment: Drama will do well in a home with another dog that does not have a lot of visitor's. She is particular about not wanting to go outside in the rain.

Drama is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
