Through our rescue RYP Flint Hills Animal Rescue we sometimes have a dog available for adoption. You can view adoptable dogs on this page. If there are no dogs listed, we do not have any dogs available at the moment.
All dogs are spayed/neutered and vaccinated. While in our care, we work on basic obedience and test them with a variety of things to place them in the best home possible.

Meet Drama Momma
Drama was brought to us with 4, 2 week old puppies. She was a great mom to them, and all of those puppies have been adopted. She is sweet and loving once she knows you and protective of her people. She enjoys pets, hugs, playing with soft toys, and lounging on soft beds.
About Drama:
Age: Adult
Breed: Great Dane/Akita
Size: Large- 90 pounds
Temperament: Playful, affectionate, protective
Ideal Home for Drama:
Experience: Drama would do best in a home that understands the Akita protection. She doesn't need a lot of exercise and would be happy curling up with you on the couch. She will need a good brushing regularly to keep shedding to a minimum.
Children: We have not tested Drama with children yet.
Environment: Sarge would be happy in any home environment, whether it's a house with a yard for playtime or an apartment.

🐾 Meet Tarzan! 🐾
Tarzan was found as a stray and picked up after a month of roaming. He came in with an injured back paw. It is healing, but will need more physical therapy and will never be a "normal" paw. He doesn't let that stop him from running, playing with toys, and learning.

Age: approx 8 months old
Breed: Pit bull mix
Size: Medium - 30 pounds
Temperament: Energetic, playful, and affectionate
Ideal Home for Tarzan:
Experience: Tarzan will need a loving home that can work with his special needs. A home that is active, and willing to work with him socially and physically would be ideal.
Children: We have not tested Tarzan with children yet. He is still young and in a home with young children, would need training to learn not to jump on them.
Environment: Tarzan would be happy in any home environment, whether it's a house with a yard for playtime or an apartment, as long as he gets ample exercise and quality time with his family.
